A bun-tastic Christmas 🎁 🎄
Dansk version
English version
The Christmas tree was decorated with extra small reindeer, and they were delicately hung on the branches. The bunnies' Christmas presents (the ones that could fit under the tree) were placed under the Christmas tree. The Christmas tree looked really nice. The pine cones were natural decorations, and something that also could be eaten.
When Molly unpacked her presents, she had to choose three gifts of her own choosing, the last of which would be their newly built wooden furniture, and the last three of her gifts would then be given second Christmas, which was held on second Christmas Day. A wooden piece of furniture had also been built for each of the rabbits. First, the small presents got unpacked. With the Christmas music playing in the background and the cozy place with blankets prepared, it was now time to open the first presents.
Molly's first gift contained:
a bag of dried nettle leaves, a bag of marigold flowers, a small green toy with a wooden ball in it and a bag of hemp sticks, and number two gift included: small banana flavored treat biscuits. She went all crazy because of the delicious scents that hung in the air for a long time after she had already had a taste, but it wasn't quite enough for her, so she demanded more. But the gift box wasn't completely empty yet, because Sandy also had to get her presents from the Christmas tree. Molly shuffled around at the foot of the Christmas tree among all the presents and sniffed a little at some of the gifts along the way. She wanted to choose her presents carefully, and apparently that was also the case for some of Sandy's Christmas presents. When Sandy had also had her presents unwrapped, which contained a lot of delicious snacks that she couldn't keep her little mouth from. Many goodies were probably snacked on this day.
One of the main gifts for the rabbits was a wooden furniture, which is built in two levels, connected by a staircase, so that the rabbits can get up and down easily and quickly, and the steps can even be removed if it becomes necessary to change them or clean them. The size of the ground floor and the first floor of the wooden furniture are roughly the same and they can each have a floor, if one rabbit gets tired of the other and just wants some alone time, then this is possible.
The other wooden furniture that the rabbits also got on Christmas Eve was made of larch wood, and it has three high surfaces, each at their own height/level, where the rabbits can go through all the rooms in a labyrinth. There is also a small extra room/cave at the middle level. The furniture was so big that we had to let the rabbits out in the outback to make sure they were safe, because with such big presents you can easily accidentally hit a snout or two, so we kept them at a safe distance, until the wooden furniture was installed in the running yard, just in case. The rabbits were eventually allowed to re-enter the run and examine what they had been given. Both Molly and Sandy were very curious about their new caves/furnitures. They were both very surprised that there were suddenly two new and large furnitures for them. They seemed really happy. The tree burrows were then thoroughly inspected. They eventually got tired and exhausted and started eating hay and then took a nap.
It had been an eventful day and a day full of happy experiences.
