Time for gifts yet again!
Dansk version:
December.
English version:
With Christmas music and some Advent gifts, Christmas can't go wrong. The Christmas spirit spreads slowly as the days of December pass. It has become the 2nd Sunday of Advent, and of course that means gifts.
Before the packages were unpacked, a photoshoot was done with the rabbits in turn. Some spruce was laid in the background, the two gifts were set up nicely. Then first Molly and then Sandy were called up and they immediately started sniffing around and this was absolutely perfect when taking pictures with the professional camera. It ended up being some really cute pictures of the bunnies being curious of Christmas.
This Advent, it was Molly who was allowed to unwrap her present first. She started biting and scratching the wrapper. She was good at tearing off small flakes of paper, and she was actually quite efficient with the packaging. She opened it and she went crazy when the delicious scents poured out of the package. She had been given three boxes which are made from an edible material which is grass fiber and these boxes are connected by a string which is also edible for rabbits and they are separated by small slices of birch wood. The three boxes contain different dried flowers and herbs. Molly shook the boxes to get the contents out and soon Sandy joined her to examine Molly's Advent present more closely. It must have been a well-chosen gift. Now it was Sandy's turn to unwrap her Advent present. She pushed the package around. It was tipped over countless times, and she began to bite off pieces, which she neatly placed to the side. Sandy had the gift unwrapped, and inside was a bag of delicious and fresh hay. Immediately the gift that Molly got was left behind (for a period of time) and then the focus was on Sandy's gift. It was new and also smelled delicious, so now it was time to sit and enjoy it. They sat for a long time and munched on the special hay, which is from a very special area.
But Advent presents were not the only thing the rabbits got this day. It was also the 4th of December, which means that they should also have their daily calendar gift. Sandy got hers first and she got a handful of dried green delicious dandelion leaves. Molly couldn't resist sneaking over and tasting a few, but when it's Sandy's calendar gift, she gets the most, and the same goes for Molly when it's her calendar gift. When Molly was to receive today's present, she jumped around it and was extremely interested. She got some small sticks made from compressed timothy hay. These Timothy sticks were something she particularly liked. She jumped up and took it in her mouth, after which she ran away with it, so no one would steal it from her. Sandy sneaked up and asked nicely for permission before she also grabbed a Timothy rod, then ran off with it, and then it was enjoyed.
At the end of the evening, the fun became a little more quiet. A mat was laid out ( a Vetbed) in the enclosure, which we could all sit on, and then they were read a bedtime story. But today it was a Christmas story. It was a cartoon from Disney that was read aloud. In time they calmed down and they fell asleep quietly.
Happy 2nd Advent and 4th December everyone!
