Shed and enclosure progess
Dansk

Then the frame for the shed and the running yard have been cast, so now we have started the construction, and it is now much easier to get the motivation to carry out the rest. As you can see from the pictures, we had a bit of fun making our signature in the casting. We each put our hands in the concrete and wrote the year it was cast in. It makes the construction much more personal, and we had fun making the signatures. However, we had some unfortunate accidents along the way, when we had dug the 80 cm deep holes. Up to 3 mice had fallen into the deep and muddy holes, and could not get up again, and I still have a very bad conscience for not having covered the holes with something before, so after these accidents we decided to put some tiles over the holes so that no more animals would fall into them. We dug a total of 24 holes, 14 of which were 80-90 cm deep and the last 10 were 60 cm deep, and it took a lot of energy to dig that deep with a spade, but we finally succeeded and we could finally mix the cement and cast all the holes. We also made the frame for the shed, and we did that with recycled wood, because we just had some lying around, and we thought we might as well use it for something sensible. However, it still requires a lot of planning and hard work to build on. Next to the building with the shed for the rabbits, we are in the process of digging out for the enclosure, because we do it by hand, and it takes time and a lot of effort, so we choose to do it while building.
