Keep the good spirit  Here are just some pictures of the cute rabbits that might lift your mood a little. Sandy and Molly are doing well, despite the many changes there are for us others. We try to minimize changes and stress as much as we can so that they are not affected as much. They jump around, and have a really good time. The sun is finally coming, and the heat comes quietly too, and the rabbits love it. They run and jump around like never before. So they just love spring. When all the trees and plants grow and soon they become green so the rabbits can eat them. That's what they're waiting for.   "Where there's light there's hope." Hoppy Easter everybunny!!   Then it has become Easter and of course it should be celebrated with a little Easter egg hunt for the rabbits. We hid some little Easter eggs that we had bought around the garden to find and poke or just touch it before it was defined, like the rabbit had found it. They then got points according to how many they found, and then we hung them up in their yard afterwards. We had 9 eggs in total, 3 of them which were larger than the other 6. The rabbits ran around the garden trying to find these eggs, but there were many other things that just needed to be explored along the way. It wasn't that important to find eggs, either. It was super nice to spend some time with them and then we were so lucky with the weather as the sun has been shining for several days now. They enjoy it to the fullest, too! We all love gardening when the sun shines right?  The weather has also been pretty good today, so we decided to turn in and do some work. It's always good to get the job done a little when the spring heat is coming. Then we washed the roof in the rabbit lawn, so now it has turned blue again and the rabbits can finally get some light again. It had become quite dark with all the dirt and mildew that had fallen on the roof over the fall and winter. It took us approx. 2 hours in total, where the rabbits had to sit inside the small house, so we did not hit them with the water from the garden hose, so they were not happy in such a heat (it is much warmer for rabbits when they have so much fur).  BEFORE the wash AFTER the wash

It was time to wash windbreaks  Today was good so we chose to wash the windbreaks. When the sun finally arrives to warm up a little, then you have to seize the opportunity to get some outdoor work done. It took a few hours to wash them all, but it was definitely worth it. It's difficult to wash the glass from the inside as there's a wire fence in between, so you can't get in with a normal brush, so we use an old bottle cleaner to come in and rub all the dust and dirt off, and we just use normal sulfo for help, however, it's diluted with water so that not too much soap comes in to the rabbits. When this is done, you rinse immediately with some water, where we use a water atomizer, and then the glass are as good as new. The rabbits at least appreciate being able to look out again, so now they can keep an eye on all the dangerous predators that sneak around in the bushes. The windbreaks is made of glass so the bunnies can look through it

Rabbits' behaviour in the spring Now it's finally spring and the sun has started to warm again. It also means that the rabbits get a lot more energy because they are happy and get the necessary vitamin D, which they lack in winter. They can express their joy by making binkies and jumping happily around you. Warmth and sun make most people happy, and doesn't that apply to you too? She-rabbits also start to build nests as soon as they notice the weather's changing. They think they've to have kittens that they need to provide, but since we assume that they're not supposed to have kittens, they will still build nests and feed it so it's warm. They will most likely choose to build it in a cave or other dark hiding place that they can just find. Part 2 The eyes Closed or partially closed eyes indicate happiness and it may also mean that the rabbit is resting. Wide open eyes that are accompanied by a curious sniff and erect ears mean excitement and that it is interested in what is about to happen. If wide open eyes are accompanied by twitching in the ears and an upright position the rabbit is alert and curious. The ears If the ears stand up vertically in the air the rabbit is alert and try to listen and they can also do so with only one ear and they do this because they would like to listen to the sounds but at the same time they want to rest. Part 1 Teeth If a rabbit naps it does not necessarily mean that it is aggressive but it may also be meant to be loving. The rabbit wants to communicate with you and that is also how they communicate with each other. There will be no doubt if the rabbit bites due to aggression. Doing so can mean the rabbit is scared or feels pain. A threatening bite can mean that it is unhappy and angry and would like to tell you but does not want to hurt you. Valentines day - The day of love  Today is Valentine's Day which means that we must show our love for the rabbits. And which way is better than giving them lots of pets and treats? We gave them some goodies that were shaped like hearts. When they had eaten what they wanted from the hearts they were allowed a walk in the backyard. We tried to show our love for both rabbits in the best possible way without coming rushing and hugging them. It must be a day filled with love and not a day filled with malaise and irritation. It's important that the rabbits are doing well even if humans have events that we would like to celebrate with our lovely furry family members. Winter food What do you really need to give your rabbits during the winter period when there is no grass? We rabbit owners tend to give our rabbits a lot of grass because it still looks green and lush but it can go really wrong if we do. When it's winter it's very important not to give your rabbits grass as the frost has gone in it too many times. and has destroyed it then the rabbit can no longer tolerate it. It's true that the grass has a high sugar content in the winter because the grass no longer uses nourishment to grow because it's dark and the temperature is so low that it no longer grows but it can however make sugar when the sun shines but instead it stores in the plant. Så kom vi alle godt ind i det nye årti. Vi håber at i og jeres kæledyr (hvis i har nogle) er kommet ind i det nye år med hænder og poter. Der er forhåbentlig ikke nogle skræmte kæledyr, der er løbet hjemmefra, og vi håber at at alle har det godt på trods af det larmende fyrværkeri. Vores kaniner har taget det hele meget afslappet, og reagerede knap nok på fyrværkeriet, og det er jo virkelig dejligt, at de ikke bliver rædselsslagen hver gang, der kommer et brag. De har jo hørt på larmen i et par uger efterhånden, så de har haft lidt tid til at vænne sig til det. Vi hyggede i langt tid med kaninerne på nytårsaftensdag. Vi pyntede op i deres løbegård, og tog billeder af dem med nytårspynt og nytårshat. De blev lidt småsure på os, fordi vi blev ved med at ligge nytårspynt på dem, så man kunne se, at det var nytår på billederne. De er altid så hyggelige at være sammen med, og vi respekterer dem, og derfor stoppede vi, da vi vurderede, at de ikke kunne lide det mere.  Deres mad bestod...

Glædelig jul! 🎁🎄 Så blev det endelig den 24. december. Kaninerne fik deres julegave og deres sidste kalendergave i løbet af eftermiddagen. Men inden da ville vi prøve noget nyt. Vi ville prøve, at lave popcorn til dem ud af nogle popmajs, som var lavet til, at skulle poppes til popcorn, og gives til kaniner. Resultatet blev ganske godt, men da vi gav det til dem, snuste de bare til det, og tøffede videre. De skulle da ikke nyde noget af at smage de der mærkelige hvide dimser, som vi havde med til dem. Så vi tog popcornene med igen, og håbede på, at de hellere ville have deres kalender- og julegave. Senere på dagen gav vi kaninerne deres julegave, som de blev virkelig glade for. De puffede lidt til den, og spiste straks af høet, der lå indeni. Vi havde valgt at lave en foderbold ud af en kokosnød, hvor vi snittede den midt over, og lavede nogle huller, så de kunne få hø ud af kokosnødden. Til sidst satte vi en snor i, så den kunne hænges op i løbegården. Vi lavede den færdig nogle...
