Fun with the buns
A few days
ago we thought it had been a long time since Sandy and Molly had been in the
conservatory to we decided they should go on an adventure as it otherwise said
it was a very long time ago (like 1 year ago). The conservatory very messy so
we quickly cleaned up everything. They are excellent motivation to get
something done. We put a lot of blankets, baskets, caves and mattresses to make
them feel at home, and then we rabbit secured it all so we did not risk them
getting hurt. It tends to be a fair temperature in the conservatory so we chose
to take them in in the morning so there was the same temperature inside as
there was outside.
Molly was a
little scared to walk on the stone floor to begin with but after a while she
just became sure on her paws. Generally, she has had a slight fear of walking
on laminate flooring and other hard / slippery floors. We have a theory that it
is because she slipped around a lot when she was young and then she has not had
the opportunity to overcome the fear so hopefully she should have time to turn to
it. Sandy on the other hand ran around and explored everything she could get
close to. She also became a little dusty when she came out from some places
where there was a lot of cobwebs, so she was completely covered in cobwebs in
whiskers and fur. Poor her. Of course, I helped her get rid of it afterwards. Sandy
does not fear the floor at all but can sometimes it is difficult with walking
on it for longer distances.
At some
point both rabbits got really tired so we took a nap together for approx. 10
min. It was super cozy! The calm aura that the rabbits emitted was absolutely
amazing. We've taken naps with them before but it's absolutely magical every
single time. They are just so lovely.
Shania and
I had also made some small cardboard houses for about 4 years ago, which we
actually made for the rabbits but I did not expect that they actually could get
in there and walk around in there but they can. They just went in through the
little hole I had made and then they made their way in there in each their
cardboard house and took a little nap.
They drank
a lot of water and ate some hay as well as they normally do not do when they
are on adventure but they did. That means they felt safe with the whole
situation and the surroundings since they were both sleeping, showering and
eating / drinking.
After they
explored and had played around for approx. 1.5 hours then they were put in
their rabbit run again so they could also get some sleep.
